The Piece

Lagerfeld's turn-of-the-millennium S/S 2000 "cyber" rimless frame that folds to nothing at the CC bridge.

Chanel's 1990s eyewear under Karl Lagerfeld is where the house's most inventive engineering lived, and this folding rimless frame is a perfect example — a wrap that collapses at the CC-logo bridge into something you can slip into a pocket. Rendered in silver-tone metal with a cool blue-grey gradient lens, it pairs the era's futurist minimalism with the unmistakable interlocking-CC signature at the center.
The frameless construction runs a continuous silver wire from lens to temple, hinged at a polished CC logo that doubles as the folding mechanism. Lightweight and precise, it captures the technical confidence of Lagerfeld-era Chanel, when the house treated sunglasses as objects of design as much as accessories. Made in Italy.
This is a collector's frame rather than a basic pair of shades — a piece of 1990s Chanel that speaks to the people who know exactly what the folding CC bridge means. Increasingly hard to find in clean silver, it's the kind of quietly technical archive piece that only gets rarer.
